Entrepreneurship always thrives in a dynamic ecosystem consisting of education, research and incubation network. Recognising the growing propensity particularly among the young and ambitious management and technical graduates, to strike out on their own as entrepreneurs and realising the crying need of Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs) for critical management inputs as well as business guidance the IIM Bangalore set up the N S Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies (NSRCEL).

NSRCEL's mission within academia is to describe, analyse and understand the dynamics behind entrepreneurship. NSRCEL draws upon the insights of IIMB's network of faculty, academicians, researchers and professionals in India and abroad. The primary objective of the programmes at the NSRCEL is to enhance the quality of business management skills in entrepreneurs and owner-managers by imparting a set of concepts that equips them with the required knowledge to successfully conduct business in contemporary economic and business environment.
